| With over
50 years of experience in industrial distribution, we have evolved
into an organization which we believe is second to none in its
ability to serve you. Womack represents some of the world’s
leading suppliers of fluid power and industrial control products.
One of the largest
inventories in the Southwest is maintained in three conveniently

product we don’t represent,
our "One Call Does It" service can provide you with the
phone number of the nearest supplier.
Our sales staff is one of the best trained
in our industry. They will gladly help with component selection,
product application, or system design.
Our sister company Womack Systems, L.C.
can design and manufacture complete power units and electrical
control panels.
The phones in our sales offices are answered
by people around the clock to help you in case of an emergency. |
Womack has written and published a library of Textbooks on fluid
power, industrial controls, and automation equipment. They are written
from a practical, rather than a scientific viewpoint, and there is
a minimum of mathematics, theory, and formulas. Our books are used
by fluid power distributors, manufacturers, Fortune 500 companies,
government agencies, colleges, and technical schools throughout the
world.
The first five volumes cover the selection, application, control,
and maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum equipment. Our
Tooling Treasures book shares many years of R.C. Womack's personal
experiences in the area of high production tooling. The next book
in the series provides a basic training in the practical use of industrial
control and automation components.
You are invited to enroll in one of our Customer
Schools offered
from time to time in all of the territories in which we operate.
These schools on fluid power and industrial controls have been attended
by over 25,000 Womack Customers in the last thirty years. Our courses
are used by technical schools all over the U.S.A. and Canada, and
by many other distributors to train their employees and Customers.
In the practical fluid power courses we teach
the how and why of fluid power, the construction and operation of
pumps, valves, cylinders, and accessory components, and the construction
of circuit diagrams. Industrial controls classes cover PLCs, drives
and the sensors, timers, counters, and other equipment used along
with them. There is no math, and theory is held to a minimum. Easy
to understand slides, charts, and simple illustrations are used.
Most of the materials are non-proprietary and cover various brands
of components. The classes are informal with an illustrated lecture
format and questions are encouraged. Both basic and advanced courses
are offered.
Womack textbooks described above are used in these courses. Classes
meet one evening a week for two to three hours. The program consists
of lectures supplemented with color slides and data sheets. There
is no examination, either oral or written.
A diploma is awarded to those who complete the course. Tuition varies
depending upon the specific location and course tuition is for the
complete lecture course including the textbook and all supplies.
Please contact your nearest Womack sales office for information on
